Buying guide for meat slicers

Some important facts to remember when purchasing a slicer:

The three most important factors to consider are business volume, menu, and size of foods. If you have to operate manually and use the slicers for low volume or sporadic work then compact slicers are best choice for you. If frequent slicing is required heavy duty slicers are best.

Automatic slicers are most popular among butcheries and meat markets. Controls on this slicer are programmed to give specific number of slicing strokes per minute thus saving labor costs and producing a uniform product. Slicers can also be belt driven or gear driven.

Two identical commercial slicers could have slightly different warranties, construction materials, or other features. Therefore it is very important to compare warranties and extra features.
