Electric grills for your barbeque party

An electric grill is a cooking element that has a ribbed grilling surface placed near the planar cooking surface with a containment wall. It has food divider which can be adjusted. This can keep unwanted liquids like fat and water away from other foods. In one of its sides it has channels between the ribs to direct grill liquids into a flat reservoir area. The ribbed grilling surface is elevated above the planar cooking surface. Its heating element is imbedded in the grids of grill rack.

Other types of grills

Besides Electrical grill there are other types of Grills also like:
A gas grill
Gas grills have side burners, rotisserie kits, multiple burners and lots of other features. Its fuel comes from natural gas line or from propane tank. Gas grill offers exquisite flavor, versatility and convenience. They require more space than any other grill and should not be kept near any other structure.
Charcoal grills
They also require good amount of space but also require Charcoal for getting the fire going. They add flavor for us to cherish. If the coals are dowsed in water you can turn off the Charcoal, but it can cause damage to charcoal grill. Though charcoal grills costs less than gas grills the fuel cost will be more.
Electric grills:
The Electric grills are the best among these two. They can heat quickly. It doesn't require any fuel other than an electrical outlet. They do not generate high heat. To give flavor to the foods, there are some wood chips soaked in water and placed on the reflector pan. It seals the natural juices of foods. It is advised not to use an extension cord. Instead an outlet with a ground fault circuit interrupter can be preferred.

The Grills can also be Indoor grills and Outdoor grills
Indoor grills.
These Indoor grills come in two types, the open grill and the folding contact grill. The open grill is similar to an outdoor grill. Some open grills can make the fat drippings get into heating elements which can cause a fire. Indoor grills cannot drain liquids. So when grilling marinated meats drain it first on a cooking rack. You should lightly brush the basting solutions on food without spilling. You can cook anything i n this grill.
Outdoor grills
Many people consider using an outdoor grill with design exclusively according to the landscape. They can be inexpensive portable units or can take an important place in fully equipped outdoor kitchens.

There are other grills also like pellet grills. A pellet grill burns hardwood pellets made from wood scraps. They give a superb hardwood flavor and are in fact much superior then charcoal grills.

How to use your grill?

There are three types of Grilling Methods:
Direct grilling
Food is cooked right over the fire with medium high or high heat. They are best for steaks, burgers, sliced vegetables and fish.
Three-zone grilling:
It is a sophisticated form of direct grilling, which is useful for regulating the heat on a charcoal grill. In this procedure rake half of the hot coals into a double layer at one side of the grill to make a high-heat zone and put the remaining coals into a single layer in the grill's center in a moderate-heat zone. Then leave portion of the grill without any coals for cooking in low heat.
Indirect grilling
It is used for cooking tougher, larger cuts of meat or whole birds, racks of ribs, beef briskets, legs of lamb etc. The direct grilling can burn the exterior before the center gets hot.

Benefits of electric grill

Electric grill is very safe and convenient to use. It does not generate open flames or flammable liquids. It cooks food more evenly with the coils maintaining a constant temperature that's easy to control.

They are also safer for the environment and emit 99 percent less carbon monoxide than charcoal grills, and reduce carbon dioxide by 91 percent.

Electric grills are very easy to clean. The cooking grid can be removed to pop it in the dishwasher.

How to clean grill?

Grills need thorough cleaning at least once a year. Its routine maintenance adds new life to your grill and gives tastier food for longer life.

Wash the dust outside the surface with warm, soapy water an d a sponge or cloth(To clean it), but avoid abrasive cleaners in case your grill has a painted, non-stick or aluminum surface. Its grates are cleaned with a stiff wire brush, paint scraper or a ball of heavy-duty aluminum foil. After cleaning, smear the cooking surface with vegetable oil to prevent food from sticking.

Tips to buy grill

The first thing you need to decide is which type of grill you want whether propane or natural gas. Natural gas needs a gas line.

Next thing to be considered is the material of the grill. Main body of the grill is made of sheet metal, cast aluminum, stainless steel or cast iron. The most preferred one is stainless steel. One thing to watch for is not just the body but also the frame.
